At 70 years of age, I lost over 50 pounds by simply changing what I ate. You see, at 70 years old, I was struggling. Struggling to walk or climb stairs without getting out of breath. Frustrated that I was tired all the time and couldn’t enjoy friends and family the way I used to. Angry that I had allowed myself to reach such a state of physical deterioration with my blood pressure dangerously high at 160/90 an elevated cholesterol level of 231and had been told I was pre-diabetic and on the verge of having to take the dreaded insulin shots.
At 70 years old, I was tempted to say “forget it”! It’s too late. I’m too old. It’s useless. I may as well just eat whatever I want.
After my little pity party, I picked myself up, brushed myself off and said “stop your whining Sharon! You’ve got important things to do and important people to be with. Let’s get this under control.”
I realized I needed to re-learn how to live my life and most importantly re-learn how to eat. So after much research, I developed a new way of living for myself. And in the process I Lost 50 pounds, saw my blood pressure return to a normal 117/70, my cholesterol take a dive to a healthy 201 and I got rid of the dreaded “pre-diabetic” label.
And those 50 pounds are still gone, even after 2 years!
After much research, I have learned what to eat, when to eat and how to eat. This information is what I want to pass on to you.
